Absolut Vodka

Stan created this earthwork for an award winning ad for the highly successful Absolut Artist series. Absolut Landmark ran in Rolling Stone, Esquire, Interview and Art Forum magazines to name a few. Created on 17 acres utilizing numerous field crops, the still life design was photographed through all seasons and was replanted the following year.

The artist was introduced to the Iroquois Nation through importer Michel Roux, creator of Absolut's industry changing campaign. Roux's patronage took the Iroquois Lacrosse team abroad for international competition. The Iroquois invented the game which was discovered by the French. As a great patron of the arts Roux later supplied the initial funds to begin Herds New York Countryside.
