In addition to his art works, Stan also accepts commissions from various companies who want compelling works for their advertising and promotion campaigns. These works often consist of illustrations such as portraits, product packaging, or company logos.

While most of the commercial works have taken place in his native state of Kansas, the artist and his crew have created designs for national ad campaigns in California, Iowa, Oklahoma, Texas and internationally in South Australia and England. Stan has works under consideration in Beijing, London, Texas and Salt Lake City Utah.

"My early reservations about lending my work to commercial ventures gave way to the realization that financial stability is imperative in life and art. Along with that 'brilliant insight' was the discovery that working with creative directors, actors, producers and film people in general, was quite stimulating and rewarding beyond the financial. A further insight was the realization that the commercial project budgets allowed for much more experimentation than the artworks. I was subsequently able to take that experimentation into the fine art process."
